September 20 – October 4, 2015

The CCELD pairs emerging leaders from across all sectors to participate in a two week in-field Dialogue.
It provides an opportunity to develop, peer-to-peer, the critical skill sets required to make leadership decisions in the moment.

Opening plenary sessions in Ottawa-Gatineau, Canada

September 20 - 22

The Dialogue opens in Canada where all participants engage in presentations, discussion and networking. Global leaders will explore the Dialogue theme in its different dimensions with participants. The Opening session orients participants to the programme and exposes them to issues of key importance, sharpening their focus for the study tours.

Study Tours

The cohort of participants is divided into five study groups each travelling to different locations in Canada and the Caribbean. Participants visit communities, workplaces and institutions to meet with leaders for discussions on their challenges and the strategies and systems used in meeting them. A diverse mix of visits exposes participants to a range of issues from multiple perspectives, allowing them to look beyond the scope of their regular context in their own organisation and locale. This dynamic process of building relationships, accommodating different perspectives and values, and forging common ground improves participants’ confidence to lead.
